Kerala Prawn Curry

Ingredients:

Prawns - 500 gms
Vinegar - 4 tablespoon
Dry red chillies - 4
Grated coconut - 6 tablespoon
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Onion Sliced - 1
Vegetable Oil - 4 tablespoon
Curry Leaves - 2 sprigs
Ginger - 2 pieces
Garlic - 2
Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon
Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Tomato - 2
Salt - to taste
Coriander Leaves - few

Directions:

Clean the prawns well. Marinate it with salt and vinegar and keep it aside. Roast the chillies, grated coconut, mustard seeds and chopped onion and grind them to a fine paste. Take some oil in a pan and fry curry leaves, chopped ginger and garlic and saute them for sometime. Then add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder and the ground paste. Fry it until the oil starts to separate from it. To this add sliced tomatoes and sufficient water. Allow it to boil and then sim it for about 5 minutes. Now add the prawns and mix well. When the prawn gets cooked add the vinegar. Cook for another couple of minutes and remove from heat.
