Dates n' Cashew Balls
Ingredients:
SEEDLESS DATES-20 PIECES
CASHEWS-20 PIECES
GHEE OR BUTTER-2 OR 3 tbs
CARDOMOM POWDER-1tbs
SUGAR-2 tbs
OIL-I CUP
MAIDA-4-tbs
Method
HEAT A FRYING PAN AND ADD 2 tbs GHEE AND THE GRINDED CASHEWS. WHEN
THE CASHEWS ATTAIN A LIGHT GOLDEN COLOUR PUT THE DATES INTO THE FRYING
PAN AND FRY IT FOR 5 MINUTES. AFTER 5 MINUTES ADD SUGAR AND CARDAMOM
POWDER. REMOVE THE PAN FROM THE FIRE AND IN A SEPERATE BOWL DISSOLVE
3 tbs OF MAIDA IN WATER AND ADD A PINCH OF SALT. MAKE SMALL BALLS
WITH THE MIXTURE IN THE FRYING PAN AND DIP THOSE BALLS IN THE BOWL
AND FRY THOSE BALLS TILL THEY ACQUIRES A LIGHT BROWN COLOUR. THIS
DISH IS BEST WHEN IT'S SERVED HOT.THIS IS A TRADITIONAL KERALA SWEET
DISH AND IS USED FREQUENTLY DURING IFTHAR.
